1. The training program on intellectual property - overview

- Training Program on Intellectual Property Rights ( "the Program") of the Institute of Intellectual Property is the study of the topic "Developing training programs and fostering human resources management of intellectual assets for business in the future "(2007) on the basis of surveys, analysis of needs, requirements of practical human activities as well as intellectual property on the basis of lessons learned from the training class and fostering the intellectual property has been implemented in Vietnam in recent years, the comparison and selection experience of some countries.
- The program is built to the object-oriented (people trained) different. Trainees are divided into 15 groups (categories) depends on the type of activities of the organization where they work training and the position of people trained.

Types of activities are divided into five groups: (1) research and training; (2) production and manufacturing; (3) trade and services; (4) legal activities, enforcement and (5) practicing professional intellectual property.

The position of the training is divided into 3 groups: (a) leadership and direction; policy officials; (B) administration and (c) creation, production, application.

- Issues (Content) key that the program aims to include: (i) public awareness of intellectual property protection and intellectual property rights; (Ii) the major legal issues of intellectual property; (Iii) establish and maintain intellectual property rights; (Iv) the protection, disputes over intellectual property; (V) the economic aspects of Intellectual Property: Valuation, tax and accounting values ​​...; (Vi) commercialization: marketing, transmit, transfer of intellectual property and intellectual property rights; (Vii) intellectual property management.

Depending on the type of training objects, the corresponding program is designed appropriately by spending more time and more attention to relevant content, while other content is reduced or absent.

- The program is classified according to the level of training (in-depth level of the training content). There are 3 types of training levels:
    + Level A: The level of low depth, nature mainly introduces the general content the most important and at practice. Training time: 1 months (22 sessions x 3 hours)
    + Level B: Level of average depth, has some depth content, training time: 3 months (65 sessions x 3 hours)
    + Level C: high-level expertise, spend a lot of time for practice and skill. Training time: 5 months (105 x 3 hour sessions)
- Based on the classification of training objects and training level above, system training programs on intellectual property of the Institute includes 15 main categories as follows:
